MediCheckMe is committed to making our symptom checker and support tools usable by everyone, including people with visual impairment, epilepsy or photosensitivity, ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and cognitive disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines as far as possible.
What we support
- Adjustable text size, line spacing and word spacing
- High contrast, dark mode and grayscale display modes
- Dyslexia-friendly font option
- Epilepsy Safe Mode that removes flashing, pulsing and auto-moving content
- ADHD Friendly Mode that reduces distractions and adds a reading guide
- Cognitive Disability Mode with a simplified layout
- Enhanced keyboard focus indicators and full keyboard navigation support
- Semantic HTML structure with labelled forms, headings and landmarks for screen readers
- Preferences saved to your device, or to your account when signed in
Known limitations
- Some third-party embedded content may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA
- Text-to-speech uses your browser's built-in speech engine, which varies by device
- We are continuing to test and improve screen reader journeys across all tools
