GP Ready 路 Patient safety

Safety, Privacy & Governance

GP Ready is a GP appointment-preparation and personal health-record service, not a diagnosis, prescribing or emergency assessment service. Here's what the current product does and which protections require continued verification.

Emergency? Don't use GP Ready to decide whether to wait.

Call 999 for a life-threatening emergency. For urgent problems that are not life-threatening, use NHS 111. The warning list is not exhaustive.

Emergency information

A static list of example emergency warning signs is shown before the AI chat. It is not personalised screening or a guarantee that waiting is safe.

AI report preparation

The AI helps organise symptom information. You review and correct the draft before choosing to download, save or email it. No automated diagnosis or urgency decision is provided.

How the AI is used

Your account and report choices

Signed-in records have access restrictions. PDFs and email copies are controlled by the recipient; privacy and deletion requests may be subject to legal exceptions.

How we handle data

Blood pressure information

Readings are charted as entered. General NHS reference information is optional and not an individual assessment or automatic alert.

How records are retained

Clinical and regulatory review

Official references and content need ongoing review. A passing automated test does not constitute clinician approval or a medical-device determination.

How content is assessed

Privacy and information governance

Symptoms, profiles and blood-pressure data can be special-category personal information under UK GDPR. The business must document its lawful bases and Article 9 condition, processor agreements, any international transfers, retention decisions and a suitable DPIA assessment. Access-control rules have been tested in simulation; independent live two-account testing is still a release requirement.
